carpentry workshop for families
WITH MARIANA SILVA
"Do it with your own hands" is a project by designer Mariana Costa e Silva that designs furniture and other wooden products.
The goal is clear: to create furniture that is simple to make and nice to use.
Parents, children, uncles, nephews, stepfathers, stepmothers, grandchildren, grandparents, let's all make furniture together!
This workshop was created with a special “duo” in mind: an adult and a child sharing a special bond. In this family activity, the pair complements each other perfectly: The child's imaginary freedom is completed by the adult's perception, and together they will build an object that represents the gratification of doing something with their hands.
In this activity for children and adults, we will build a chair or a table for the children's room. We’re sure the whole family will treasure these items!

Mariana Costa e Silva Mariana is not only an excellent product designer, she is a woman who likes and knows to do things with her own hands, creating and producing small furnitures and other things made from wood. She created three different brands of handmade products as Confeitaria da Mala, CUT Furniture and CUCO Toys. Mariana is a friend of Cerdeira-Home for Creativity for some time, but now the time has come for her to be one of our teachers and share with us her knowledge, her know-how and of course, her good mood.

Maybe we should take a step back and, in a modest and simpler approach, do something new:
democratize the access to furniture made by its users.”

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR COURSES AND WORKSHOPS
You may withdraw within 14 days of registration, paying the correspondent transfer fees. Following the EU consumer protection legislation, payments are not refunded past 14 days of registration. The payment will be fully reimbursed if the training cannot be held because of insufficient students.
Suppose the training is canceled by Cerdeira - Home For Creativity for reasons of significant force such as a pandemic, civil disorder, a natural catastrophe, medical or family issues of the teacher, and others beyond our control. In that case, Cerdeira will offer a voucher for a different workshop of your choice. The voucher is valid for two years.
