Arts and Crafts school

The Cerdeira Arts and Crafts School is a space for learning techniques that result from timeless lines and, simultaneously, a place
for creativity and art with a contemporary twist. We offer:

1 to 3 days workshops for beginners, and longer courses, 5-10 days, that allow greater technical advance and immerse yourself in creative work.

If you are a professional artist, our classes offer a rich environment dedicated to real skills, rooted in tradition, and a space for your creativity to grow.

Our teachers are Portuguese and foreign professional artists, specialists in their field who are happy to share their knowledge with those looking for our courses.

Ceramics

Cerdeira is specially dedicated to ceramics with a fully equipped workshop and one of the few smokeless wood-fired kilns in Europe.

Professional ceramicists visit Cerdeira throughout the year for workshops, events, and exhibitions.

Wood

Wood has been at the very heart of the life of Cerdeira from its beginning.

Our space lends itself to the teaching and practicing of traditional and contemporary woodworking.

Basketry

Fighting against oblivion, basketry courses teach one of the oldest crafts.

Cerdeira welcomes these knowledge where technique and material find the time and silence necessary for learning to happen.
