Working with wood
Working with wood is a secret dialogue with nature… and with yourself.
It is an act of discovery and dedication, where each cut reveals not only the form hidden within the material, but also the sensitivity of the hands that shape it.
Wood holds stories… it has grown with time, with the seasons, and with life. When we work with it, we are not merely shaping a material; we are listening to what it has to say.
As George Nakashima said:
“In Japanese, Kodama - the spirit of the tree - refers to a feeling of special affinity with the heart of a tree. It is our deepest respect for the tree… that allows us to offer it a second life.”
In a fast-paced, digital world, woodworking is an invitation to slow down.
It is a return to the essentials: to the manual gesture, to the silence of the workshop, to the sound of the chisel gliding, and to the aroma of freshly worked wood — a space where creativity meets the material and where time regains its depth.
This is an invitation to experiment, explore, and create.
